Forget 1%, 99% Or 47%: It Is The Turn Of The 70% To Be Pissed

The Seventy Percent
People are going to be pissed off no matter who wins this election and that is a very important social dynamic I believe is vastly under appreciated by the majority of mainstream pundits and analysts out there.  This is also very distinct from the environment that prevailed in 2008.  Four years ago, the financial markets were crashing and the economic future of America was circling the toilet bowl, yet a majority of Americans embraced the potential of a young, inexperienced biracial politician from Illinois who was saying all of the right things.  Despite the gigantic disappointment he has proven to be as President, there is no denying that he had all of the Democrats and most Independents under his spell on this day four years ago.
Fast forward to 2012 and the country isn’t “divided” as mainstream media talking heads like to say.  The country is pissed off.  Genuine and legitimate frustration permeates the land from sea to shining sea and rightly so.  Ever since the banker coup of 2008, crony capitalism has been institutionalized as the only real way to make money.  If you aren’t connected or “too big to fail,” sorry but America isn’t the place for you.  What makes the economic nightmare so much worse is that it is being coupled with a complete and total decimation of civil liberties.  One by one the Bill of Rights is being ignored and indeed trampled on systemically by the political and economic oligarchs emboldened by their successful takeover of the executive, legislative and for the most part judicial branches of government.  Many Independents disagreed with Obama’s economic philosophy but gave him a pass because he promised to end the wars overseas and restore civil liberties.  Instead, what we got was a President who signed the NDAA on New Year’s Eve 2011, which included section 1021, allowing for the indefinite detention of American citizens without trial until the “end of hostilities.”  Well, because now know the Orwellian “war on terror” is never-ending, the indefinite detention is forever.  The worst part is that Obama claims he didn’t want these powers yet when a group of high profile plaintiffs filed a lawsuit against section 1021 and won a ruling deeming it unconstitutional, what was the President’s response?  He appealed it to death until he found a panel of judges to agree with him.  Not only did he want this power, he seems to crave it.  Another well deserved Noble Peace Prize.
The above is just one example of many.  His kill list, which the Administration now refers to as the “disposition matrix,” grows by the day to include people with zero affiliation with Al-Qaeda, and Obama seems to relish in the absolute power of being judge, jury and executioner.  Tragically, a President Romney will be no different.  He is already on record supporting the NDAA, war without Congressional approval and we heard his complete and total support of Obama’s drone strategy during the third and final debate.  Sure, people that care about civil liberties will vote for Romney saying that he will at least be better on economic policy, yet that is the exact same thing people did with Obama in reverse.  They ended up being disappointed with him and Romney will disappoint as well.  These guys are both big government, crony capitalist puppets and that’s the bottom line.
Another thing that must be considered is basic math about the U.S. political landscape.  According to the latest Gallup poll, 32% of Americans identify themselves as Democrats, 28% as Republican and 38% as Independents.  Now of course, amongst the Independents a majority lean more toward one party or the other, but this is much less the case today than it was in 2008 or in any election prior.  Furthermore, the mere fact that so many choose to identify in this manner makes it clear that they are unhappy with either of these political gangs.  These Independents want legitimate third, fourth or fifth party options but instead end up herded into the mainstream parties by a sophisticated corporate scam, part of which centers around the Commission on Presidential Debates, the gatekeeper of these circuses which ensures no alternative candidates can debate and excludes any difficult or uncomfortable questions.
There was a fantastic article written in the Huffington Post yesterday that examines the rampant frustration within the Republican Party titled: Frightened Republicans Try to Close Down Election Competitors, Such as Gary Johnson.  I thought the most powerful quote was:
Both the Republican and the Democratic presidential candidates talk about liberty, freedom, fiscal responsibility, free enterprise, choice and the Constitution. But neither candidate believes in those principles. Elect either Barack Obama or Mitt Romney, and government will be bigger, spending will be higher, regulation will be more intrusive, the military will be fighting more wars, more service personnel will be dying, more money will be wasted abroad, civil liberties of more people will be violated, and more privacy of more citizens will be invaded. Overall, the free society will continue to retreat.
The above is invariably true and brings me to the key point of this article.  Should Romney win, the 28% of Americans that identify as Republican will be thrilled, and the remaining 72% will be largely upset and on edge.  Should Obama win, similarly, the 32% registered Democrat with be thrilled and the remaining 68% will be upset and on edge.  Hence, the 70% referred to in the title of this article.  This is a recipe ripe for social unrest and it will be coming to our shores as I outlined recently in The Global Spring.
Personally, I am done with the two part system and will be voting for Gary Johnson.  I am not playing their games any longer and I will not fall for any more of their scams.  In my brief voting years I have pulled the lever for both Republicans and Democrats, but I do not think I will vote for any one of them ever again.  I implore everyone to do the same, no matter who you vote for, vote third party.  The only wasted vote I see is one for either Mitt Romney or Barrack Obama

Cyber Security Fails As 3.6 Million Social Security Numbers Breached In South Carolina

South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley announced Friday that, “This is not a good day for South Carolina.” The bad news was having to admit a massive security breach in the State’s Department of Revenue that resulted in the theft of 3.6 million social security numbers and 387,000 credit/debit card numbers (only 16,000 of which, it is believed, were unencrypted,) This incident affects more than three-quarters of South Carolina’s 4.6 million population.
Haley characterized this as an “attack by an international hacker,” but no details have been released about the identity of the perpetrator while their investigation is under way. The State became aware of the breach on October 10 but could not close it until ten days later. Haley said she wants the hacker, ”slammed to the wall,” and certainly she must feel slammed as well. Was it just the luck of the draw, or are South Carolina’s cyber defenses particularly weak? This will be a question that the other 49 states will have to answer.
This incident will also place cyber security on the table for the presidential candidates as well. Even more than climate change, cyber security is a big complex issue that does not translate well into soundbites, 30-second spots or talking points. It is scandalous, but unsurprising, that this issue came up only fleetingly in the last presidential debate. Cyber security will someday be seen as right up there with Social Security, health insurance and national defense as key measures of our well-being. This attack makes it clear that not only are individuals incapable of adequately protecting themselves through consumer grade solutions, and not only do the vulnerabilities of business place consumers at risk, but government itself is not up to the task of vouchsafing its citizen’s identity.

Ted Turner Apologizes For Saying It’s “Good” U.S. Soldiers Are Committing Suicide

After Infowars broke the story of Ted Turner commenting that it was “good” U.S. troops are killing themselves during an appearance on CNN, the issue went viral and Turner was last night forced to apologize for making the remarks.

Turner’s comments on Piers Morgan Tonight a few days ago had gone virtually unnoticed until we highlighted them in a You Tube video. The story was then picked up by Breitbart and the Drudge Report and has since gone viral, appearing in Fox News, the Front Page Magazine, the Hollywood Reporter and numerous other outlets.
Had the story not gone viral, Turner’s offensive remarks would have gone unchecked but last night he was forced to issue a public apology.
During my recent interview on CNN’s Piers Morgan Tonight, I inadvertently used the word “good” when asked for my thoughts on the increasing rate of suicide among U.S. military soldiers in the Middle East. It was certainly not my intent to imply that suicide is “good.” Rather, I was implying that it is good that the public is more aware of these tragedies and is more averse to war and war-related fatalities.
My message has always been one of peace, I believe that we’re born programmed to love and help each other, not to kill or hurt each other. I strongly support our U.S. troops and would never intentionally say anything to harm the brave men and women serving our country. I deeply apologize for any misunderstanding caused by this comment.
However, as we highlighted yesterday, Turner’s advocacy for “peace” and “love” doesn’t extend to the billions of people he wants to see wiped off the planet as part of a huge population reduction effort, nor to the millions of babies he would have killed under the global one child policy he advocates.
Although Turner himself has five children and owns thousands of acres of land, in 2010 he told Canada’s Globe and Mail that world leaders should “institute a global one-child policy to save the Earth’s environment.”
China’s brutal one-child policy is enforced through forced abortions and the torture and abuse of anyone who dares flout the law – unless they are rich and can afford the punitive taxes.
Turner has also repeatedly called for the planet’s population to be reduced so drastically that the only way it could be achievable would be through a massive global genocide.
“A total population of 250-300 million people, a 95% decline from present levels, would be ideal,” Turner stated in 1996.
Turner has since moderated his fervor for population reduction, earlier this year expressing his desire to see only 5 billion people wiped off the face of the earth.
These were the subjects up for discussion when Turner met in secret with the likes of George Soros, Bill Gates and David Rockefeller at a 2009 private gathering of billionaires in Manhattan, a confab focused around how the elite could use their wealth to “slow the growth of the world’s population.”
Human Events asks whether or not Barack Obama will wade in on Turner’s CNN comments, given that he recently addressed “Indiana Senate candidate Richard Mourdock’s controversial comments on abortion and rape.”

Court Upholds Ban on Handgun Sales to People Under 21

The United States may ban federally licensed firearms dealers from selling handguns to people under age 21, an appeals court ruled on Thursday, in a defeat for the National Rifle Association.
The 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Houston rejected the NRA’s argument that 18- to 20-year-olds had a right to buy the guns under the Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, as well as the equal protection clause of the Fifth Amendment.
A unanimous three-judge panel said Congress, in a law dating from 1968, adopted the sales ban to help curb violent crime. It also said that the nation’s founders and 19th-century courts and commentators believed that disarming specific groups did not trample on the right to bear arms.

Ron Paul Endorses 5 Candidates in Maine

Former Republican Presidential Candidate Ron Paul is endorsing five candidates running for the Maine State legislature, including three incumbents and two challengers.
In his endorsement letter to Rep. Aaron Libby, the Texas Congressman writes, “Because you have demonstrated that you are willing to fight for individual liberties and stand up for the Constitution, I have decided to endorse your campaign.”
The three incumbent legislators—Aaron Libby (House – Waterboro, Lyman), Beth O’Connor (House – Berwick), and Heather Sirocki (House – Scarborough)—all endorsed Ron Paul during Maine’s 2012 Presidential Caucuses.
The two challengers—John Logan Jones (House – Falmouth) and Mike Wallace (Senate – South Portland, Cape Elizabeth, Scarborough)—both served as National Delegates for Ron Paul to the 2012 Republican National Convention.
“After a stunning victory at the Maine Republican Convention, Ron Paul’s endorsement carries significant weight with Maine’s conservative grassroots,” says Eric Brakey, the former Maine State Director for the Ron Paul 2012 Campaign. He currently serves as the Chairman for Defense of Liberty PAC, which has also endorsed the candidates.
“As the November elections approach for these candidates, I expect an outpouring of support from the grassroots across Maine,” added Brakey.

Of Flag Pins and Dead Babies

Forget about the Obama’s drones killing a generation in Pakistan or the prospect of war in Syria and Iran that will undoubtedly draw in the United States…
Voters are more concerned with – okay, are you ready? – what’s on Mitt’s flag pin and the kind of car he drives.
In fact, it seems a lot of Americans like the idea of killing Pakistani grade school kids.
“A recent Pew research poll shows that 62% of Americans support drone attacks in Pakistan, even though data continues to prove they are highly volatile and a major contributor to rising anti-American sentiment in Pakistan,” writes Daniel Medina.
Voters get what they vote for, of course. Millions of Americans believe there is a difference between Romney and Obama when all the evidence overwhelmingly shows that both will continue invading and killing the innocent.
Short of a true anti-war candidate like Ron Paul making it into the White House, the war and mass murder will continue until the nation is completely bankrupt and can’t afford its serial murder program or the rest of the world either invades to end the insanity or blockades the country into submission.

Did Big Pharma Kill Tony Scott?

photo
On August 19, British film director Tony Scott, brother of Ridley Scott who was known for box office hits like Top Gun and Days of Thunder, leapt to his death from the Vincent Thomas Bridge in Los Angeles. Aside from blunt force trauma and drowning, the LA Coroner’s Office autopsy report has listed that Scott had antidepressants and sleeping pills in his system when he died.
Therapeutic levels of the drugs Mirtazapine and Lunesta were found in Scott’s bloodstream. Mirtazapine, known by the brand name Remeron, can cause serious side effects such as agitation, hallucinations, overactive reflexes, trouble concentrating, “feeling unsteady” and confusion. Warnings include not taking this medication if someone is taking Tryptophan, an essential amino acid that people need, and something people take for insomnia.
Along with Remeron, Scott had been taking Lunesta, a medication that is also prescribed for insomnia. Its side effects include depression and anxiety — the very symptoms Remeron is prescribed to treat. Like Remeron, Lunesta can also cause confusion, hallucinations, memory problems/amnesia, mental changes, severe mood swings, and unusual or disturbing thoughts.
The adverse reaction list for Lunesta also shows the drug can induce suicidal thoughts.
A study published in the British Medical Journal earlier this year showed that seniors who take Lunesta may develop dementia if they begin taking the drug after the age of 65. Scott was 68 years old at the time of his death.
Did prescription medications play a role in Scott’s death? He is not the first member of the Hollywood elite in recent years with these kinds of prescription medications found in his system at the time of death.
Earlier this year, the coroner overseeing Whitney Houston‘s autopsy declared it was a mix of anti-anxiety medications and alcohol, not drowning in a bathtub, that killed her. The NYC Medical Examiner’s Office found that an accidental overdose of prescriptions, including a combination of anti-anxiety medications and sleeping pills, killed Heath Ledger. Multiple prescription drug intoxication was partly blamed for Brittany Murphy‘s untimely death, and it was reported she may have taken over 100 pills of prescription painkiller Vicodin in the 11 days prior to when she passed away.
On average, prescription drugs kill 300% more Americans than illegal drugs. The Journal of the American Medical Association (AMA) admits that, conservatively, the adverse reactions of FDA-approved prescription drugs kill 290 people every single day — causing over 106,000 deaths in the U.S. per year, more than most cancers (except for lung), diabetes, Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, kidney disease, liver disease, traffic accidents or violence. The AMA study these figures are based on is over 12 years old now, so the true number killed is likely much higher.
